Hi!
I'm Anita!
Got
a question about Walt Disney World? I probably have the answer! Deb's
Unofficial Walt Disney World Information Guide is the most comprehensive
guide to the World on the Web, but if you still can't find the information
you're looking for by using the Site Map,
the Search
Function, or the Anita Answer Archives, drop
me a line and I'll do my best to find the answer for you. Since
there are only 24 hours in a day, I can't answer every email I receive
- however, I do read every one and try to answer as many as possible.

Does
Port Orleans French Quarter Share Buses with Riverside?

Is it true
that French Quarter and Riverside share buses to the theme parks? And
if this is true, which resort do the buses stop at first? I'm planning
on a trip later in the summer and wanted to stay at one of these resorts.
This info will help greatly in making our choice of which one to go
to. Thanks a million for you help.
Hi
John!
Yes, French
Quarter and Riverside
do share buses. The bus stops first at French Quarter (which has one
stop) and then does the loop around Riverside's four stops on Sassagoula
Circle.
Hope this helps with your planning!

My friends
and I got back from our trip to Walt Disney World a few weeks ago and
ever since we've been arguing over something. We saw the Festival
of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom
twice. My friend thinks that during the "Can You Feel the Love
Tonight" song that the actors who are dancing are birds representing
Simba and Nala. I think that they are lions representing Simba and Nala.
This may seem petty, but we must know who is right so this argument
doesn't take us into our trip back next year! Thanks a lot!
Hi
Katie!
The dancers
you refer to are actually lovebirds. The reason you all may have gotten
confused is that they are usually aerialists and fly around the theatre,
not dancing on the stage.
There was a mishap in the Tarzan Rocks!
show a few weeks ago when the aerialist playing Tarzan fell. All aerial
equipment in both the Tarzan and Lion King shows was then grounded until
it could be inspected, fixed and deemed safe to fly again. You happened
to catch the show during this downtime. The aerial equipment was back
in use for the final week of Tarzan Rocks! shows, which closed on January
21, and the lovebirds are flying high over the audience in the Festival
of the Lion King once more.

I am planning
a trip in early December 2006. Will the 50 years Happiest Celebration
be over then? If so, when does it end? Thank you for your help.
Hi Harold!
The
Happiest Celebration on Earth will officially end on September
30, 2006. You'll still be able to enjoy parts of it, however. Some of
the new attractions brought in from other parks for the celebration
are permanent, including Lights, Motors,
Action! and Soarin'.
Cinderellabration is expected
to return to its home park in Tokyo and Lucky
the Dinosaur has already moved on to Hong Kong.
Hope you
have a wonderful vacation at the World!

We are
traveling to Walt Disney World this fall with a pair of 2-year-olds.
We are thinking of bringing strollers, but someone told me that you
can rent them for each day. I was also told that when you return the
stroller at the end of each day, you get your money back. Is this true?
Hi Jennifer!
Yes, it's
true that you can rent strollers on a daily basis. You pay once per
day, and if you change parks, hang onto the receipt and you can get
a new one at the next park without paying again. When you turn in the
stroller at the end of the day, you will receive one dollar back, not
your entire rental fee. The current price to rent a single stroller
is $10 per day (price subject to change). During slower seasons, Length-Of-Stay
stroller rentals are sometimes available.
That said,
I always recommend bringing your own strollers. You'll need them to
navigate gates at the airport, getting to and from bus stops at the
parks, and most importantly, for that long trek back to your room at
the end of a busy park day. Ever notice that kids quadruple in weight
at the end of the evening when you have to carry them? ;-)

Have a
magical vacation!

We are
planning what to pack. We have two toddlers and wanted to know if the
resorts sell items like diapers and wipes. If they don't what alternatives
are there? Thank you.
Hi
Ray!
Yes, the
resort shops do sell diapers and baby wipes, but they are very (and
I mean VERY) limited in selection. If your little ones need a particular
kind, you'll probably want to supply them yourselves.
You have
a couple of options: If you have a car, there are many stores nearby
that sell a larger selection of items. If you don't have access to a
car, you can ship a box of baby supplies to yourselves at the resort,
timed to arrive when you do. Some resorts charge extra to receive packages,
so be aware of that possibility. A third option is to pack an extra
suitcase with baby supplies, and when they're used up, use the suitcase
to bring back any souvenirs you've collected on your trip. Your fourth
option is to use a local shopping service to buy them for you and deliver
them to your resort.
You can
read more about your local shopping options on All
Ears Net's® Grocery Store page. Several readers have recommended
grocery delivery services such as WeGoShop for having items delivered
to your resort. Check out their website for information.
You can
find lots of tips and information about traveling the World with small
children on All Ears Net's® Infant and
Toddler FAQ pages.
Hope you
and the little ones have a magical time on your trip!

We are
going to Walt Disney World in mid-February. We have a character breakfast
booked at Chef Mickey's for first thing in the morning. This is the
day we were planning on going to Animal Kingdom. Can we park at Animal
Kingdom and then take the monorail to the Contemporary? Thanks.
Hi Barbara!
I'm afraid
that would be impossible, as the only parks accessible by monorail are
the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
The only way to get to or from Animal Kingdom
is via bus or your own car. Since you will have your own car, the best
thing for you to do is to drive to the Contemporary,
have breakfast at Chef Mickey's,
and then drive to Animal Kingdom and park.
If you
are staying at an off-property resort, be sure to have your Chef Mickey's
confirmation number handy so that you'll be allowed through the tolls
at the Magic Kingdom gates without a parking fee.
Have a
wonderful time at the World!
