What an overlooked gem!! The view, the service and the food were outstanding!! I got the Classic Caesar Salad (really good!) and the Big Brew Burger (with added bacon and Swiss cheese) with homemade kettle chips (awesome); Dad got the Clam Chowder (loved it) and a BBQ (sweet sauce) Pork Sandwich with the chips (loved it, too). I had a Coke, Dad had the lemonade, and we each had the Chocolate Confusion Cake (too die for!) for dessert. This was probably the best meal of the trip! (Ann Eckhart, October 2005)

My family and I ate here on our second night in WDW. We were staying at the Boardwalk Villas and had no plans for dinner this night. We walked up and were seated immediately. We chose to sit on the boardwalk. The atmosphere was great - we were able to see some of the fireworks going off at Magic Kingdom and even more at Epcot. We also enjoyed the people watching. The service was great as well. Mike, our server, was polite and eager to please!

The food, however, was a disappointment. My chicken Caesar salad was bland, and my mom's alfredo pasta had no taste. I can't remember what my dad and sister had, but they weren't really impressed with the food either. (Tara Matzan, February 2005)

We ate lunch here because it was one of the few resort restaurants we could find with a lunch menu in the big book of menus guest services had at our hotel. Boy were we glad we went! The blackened mahi-mahi was excellent. It was tender and flaky, but not too spicy (and I have a low tolerance for hot food). The pork sandwich was also good, with plenty of meat (no fat or gristle) and topped with a nice sweet BBQ sauce (the meat is not cooked in the sauce). Mom thought the meatloaf was different, but every bit as good as what she makes (and she makes the best meatloaf). The rest of the family also liked their beer cheese soup. My aunt and grandpa split the beer sampler. They especially liked the two darkest, but didn't care for the lighter beers at all. (Ashley, January 2005)

I was lucky enough to have dinner at Big River Grille and Brewing Works on a recent trip to Disney World and I want to tell everyone how outstanding this Boardwalk area restaurant is. I had the Chicken Alfredo Pasta and my fiance had the New York Strip. Both of our dishes were nothing short of superb. Aditionally, if you enjoy a good beer you must visit Big River Grille for a sampling of their brews. These are some of the best beers I have ever had and they complimented our dinners very well. Wait staff and bartenders, FANTASTIC!!!!! Friendly, knowledgable, funny and attentive.

Readers please don't be put off by the 2 star rating this restaurant received on the Restaurants at a Glance page. In my opinion this restaurant deserves a much higher rating and offers way more than just burgers and salads. (Peg F, May 2004)

We stopped here for a snack one day and split a Chicken Quesadilla. It is a large flour tortilla, layered with grilled chicken, melted mozzarella and Asiago cheeses, served with homemade salsa for $7.99. This was a winner and we went back a second time to enjoy a quesadilla as well. (Deb, December 2001)
