NEW FUN AND ADVENTURES ARRIVE AT DISNEYLAND RESORT FOR ANAHEIM, Calif. - March 20, 2008 -- Innovative new attractions and colorful, new live entertainment are coming to the Disneyland Resort this spring and summer to entertain guests during The Year of a Million Dreams. Friends from the lively and fun worlds of Disney*Pixar movies and Playhouse Disney television shows will bring two new entertainment acts to Disney's California Adventure park beginning March 14, when both "Pixar Play Parade" and "Playhouse Disney Live on Stage!" premiere. Opening this summer are the new "Toy Story Mania!" attraction, a fun-filled adventure at Disney's California Adventure, and the "Innoventions Dream Home" at Disneyland. Visitors will get to play along with Disney*Pixar characters in "Toy Story Mania!" - an amazing new attraction that features the next level of interactive technology. "Toy Story Mania!" is scheduled to open in June on the Paradise Pier midway, featuring a larger-than-life Audio-Animatronics Mr. Potato Head who will deliver a zany performance with the voice of famous comedian Don Rickles. Guests will don 3-D glasses and hop into fancifully decorated "Toy Story Mania!" vehicles. While riding along a colorful, midway-themed route, they will take aim at animated targets using their own spring-action shooters, scoring points in a series of energetic, fun gaming sequences featuring Woody, Bo Peep and the rest of the gang from Toy Story. Also in Disney's California Adventure, characters from Disney*Pixar motion pictures such as Toy Story, a bug's life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars and Ratatouille will dance onto the parade route and invite guests of all ages to join in the "Pixar Play Parade," a whirling, spinning, fun-for-all animated playground, brought to life in giant parade floats, puppetry, acrobatics and interactive surprises including bubble and water effects. Over in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area of Disney's California Adventure, a cast of friends from the Disney Channel's hit "Playhouse Disney" programs will appear in an all-new "Playhouse Disney Live on Stage!" show. As Mickey Mouse and his pals from "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" plan a birthday celebration for Minnie Mouse, they will encounter helpful characters from "Little Einsteins," "Handy Manny" and more. "Playhouse Disney Live on Stage!" is an exciting combination of live performers, amazing puppetry, projections, moving scenery and special effects in which children and their parents will clap, dance and sing along. Also opening this summer will be the "Innoventions Dream Home" in Tomorrowland in Disneyland, an attraction that will remind fans of Walt Disney's fondness for futuristic ideas. The latest in cutting-edge and inspiring home ideas will be showcased in the Innoventions Dream Home, a 5,000-plus square foot residence featuring integrated digital technology in an immersive "high-tech, high-touch" guest experience. Design and development of the "Innoventions Dream Home" sprang from an alliance between Disneyland Resort, Microsoft, HP, Life/ware and home builder Taylor Morrison. The Year of a Million Dreams grants millions of "dream-come-true" experiences, large and small, to randomly selected guests at the Disneyland Resort, as well as offering immersive character encounters that include Disney Princess Fantasy Faire and Jedi Training Academy in Disneyland. The unique highlight of the 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway is the unprecedented opportunity to stay overnight inside Disneyland in the Disneyland Dream Suite, originally conceived as a private apartment for Walt Disney himself. The suite of rooms above New Orleans Square has been restored based on the original drawings of deluxe living quarters created under Disney's direction. The Disneyland Dream Suite is the supreme addition to the catalog of dreams at Disneyland Resort. Every day the Disney Dream Squad surprises eligible guests, selected through a random process, with fun prizes. For information on how to enter by mail without visiting the parks, please see below. "TOY STORY" CHARACTERS CHALLENGE GUESTS TO RIDE Disney Parks guests will don 3-D glasses and enter a wild and wooly 4-D world of Woody the Cowboy and Buzz Lightyear when Toy Story Mania! premieres this summer. The attraction will debut on both coasts: at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, and along the Paradise Pier midway in Disney's California Adventure at Disneyland Resort in California. Celebrating the Disney*Pixar classics "Toy Story" and "Toy Story II," Toy Story Mania! raises the bar for interactive ride-game attractions. It's a high energy, immersive adventure that makes guests a key part of the action as their game play triggers special effects that provide a fourth dimension of fun. "Toy Story Mania!" engages guests in a whole new way with the delightful characters of the films. Upon entering the attraction, guests will be welcomed by Mr. Potato Head, more than five feet tall and looking like he stepped right down from the movie screen. The state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics Mr. Potato Head makes a perfect carnival barker for the immersive Toy Story Mania! experience, since he is the first attraction-based Audio-Animatronics figure who can engage guests in a two-way conversation. Everyone gets a front row seat when guests put on their 3-D glasses, "shrink" to the size of a toy, and board the Toy Story Mania! carnival tram ride vehicles, whose fast travel and spinning add a huge amount of fun to the interactive experience. The exciting and colorful route takes guests through "Andy's Bedroom" filled with oversized murals and toys. The vehicles spin to face Toy Story Mania! game booths - high-tech yet rooted in classic midway games of skill - and guests aim for 3-D animated targets using their own on-board "spring-action shooters." Players pair up and sit side-by-side for a friendly competition that delivers an ever-changing variety of targets and surprises. As they play, guests can actually see the "virtual" objects they've launched leave their "spring-action shooters" and hit the targets (or not). And thanks to 4-D special effects technology, they may sense objects whirring past them as they pop out of the 3-D scenes. The Toy Story Mania! games - five of them, plus an introductory practice round - are designed to be enjoyed by audiences of all ages and skills, from beginners to serious gamers. Play is energized by the spirit of the "Toy Story" characters cast in games that best suit their very animated personalities. First comes the "Pie Throw Practice" round in which guests can try splattering targets with "virtual" pies. Next Hamm the pig hosts a "Hamm & Eggs" booth in which players launch "plastic virtual eggs" at various barnyard targets. "Bo Peep's Baaa-loon Pop" presents a landscape full of balloon sheep, trees and other objects at which guests can launch virtual darts. But players had better be careful! A popped virtual water balloon might add an additional 4-D wet dimension to the game. From there it's on to "Green Army Men Shoot Camp" where the challenge is to break plates with baseballs. Next up is "Buzz Lightyear's Flying Tossers," a ring-toss game hosted by everyone's favorite space ranger, with Little Green Aliens as the targets. For the grand finale game, Toy Story Mania! players will ride through Wild West scenes launching virtual suction-cup darts at targets in "Woody's Rootin' Tootin' Shootin' Gallery." A final "Woody's Bonus Roundup" encourages guests to fire their "spring-action shooters" as rapidly as possible at one last super-target for extra points. When scores are tallied, players. skill levels are identified with the reward of an onscreen "virtual plush." The game play of Toy Story Mania! is accompanied by ingenious musical variations of Randy Newman's "You've Got A Friend in Me," arranged by veteran music editor Bruno Coon, a frequent Newman collaborator, to compliment the games - for example, a military brass band version for "Green Army Man Shoot Camp." No matter how many times guests return to ride and play, they can be sure every ride-through will be different.
AN ALL-NEW 'PLAYHOUSE DISNEY LIVE ON STAGE!' SHOW WILL ANAHEIM, Calif. - March 14, 2008 -- A whole new cast of friends from "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse," "Little Einsteins," "Handy Manny" and more welcome children and their parents to the all-new "Playhouse Disney Live on Stage!" debuting March 14 at Disney's California Adventure. An exciting combination of live performers, amazing puppetry, projections, moving scenery and marvelous special effects create a show where guests will clap, dance and sing along with some of the most popular characters in children's television. In addition to the bubbly, breezy effects, music fills the air as youngsters join the gang in singing along with the catchy tunes that make "Playhouse Disney" such a fun place on morning television. During the Year of a Million Dreams celebration at the Disneyland Resort, young guests at "Playhouse Disney Live on Stage!" will be immersed in the interactive magic as their "Playhouse Disney" pals create the best birthday party ever for Minnie Mouse. The 23-minute stage show begins as Casey, the enthusiastic host of "Playhouse Disney," and Mickey Mouse bring the guests to visit the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, where everyone helps prepare for Minnie Mouse's birthday celebration. The gang shares tales of friendship and teamwork as they encounter their favorite characters from the popular television shows that are big hits with preschool audiences. The stars of the entertaining new show at Disney's California Adventure are characters from Disney Channel's hit Playhouse Disney programming block:

PIXAR PLAY PARADE. WILL BRING BUBBLING INTERACTIVE FUN TO ANAHEIM, Calif - March 14, 2008 - All the exciting and colorful worlds of the Disney/Pixar pals - from "Toy Story," "a bug's life," "Monsters, Inc.," "Finding Nemo," "The Incredibles," "Cars" and "Ratatouille" - will come to life in the all-new "Pixar Play Parade," debuting March 14, 2008, in Disney's California Adventure as part of the Year of a Million Dreams celebration at Disneyland Resort. Characters from every Disney/Pixar motion picture will appear in the magical immersive parade, which will invite guests of all ages to take part in the playfulness of a whirling, spinning, fun-for-all animated playground. The parade features acrobatics, bungees, high-energy choreography, interactive surprises and lively bubble and water effects. "Pixar Play Parade" features a dozen parade floats up to two stories tall, themed to Disney/Pixar movies and equipped with fun and surprising movement and effects. The cast and crew number more than 100, and behind the scenes is a creative team of top entertainment professionals including Emmy-nominated director Fred Tallaksen (a choreographer for Madonna and numerous television and stage productions), puppet designer Michael Curry (of "The Lion King" on Broadway), costume designer Mirena Rada ("Avenue Q") and composers Matthew Girard and Robbie Nevil ("High School Musical"). Girard and Nevil composed brand new tunes for Pixar Play Parade, including the "Countdown To Fun!" theme, which brings the show to life as it travels through Disney's California Adventure. Encouraging everyone to dance, play and clap along, Mike, Sulley and their monster buddies from "Monsters, Inc." will lead the procession. Even sourpuss Roz will put in an appearance - and what an appearance! She'll be the drum major, slithering her way down the parade route. Next up is a flowerbed of hopping, swinging bugs: the colony from "a bug's life." Then "The Incredibles" will zoom into view, superhero style, aboard amazing hovercrafts. But watch out! From there it's into the bubbling world of Dory, Marlin, Crush, Bloat and the colorful underwater friends from "Finding Nemo," who invite everyone to "play in schools" (schools of fish, that is). "Ratatouille's" Remy and Emile are serving up fun, too, turning their kitchen into a super soapy pool of creativity with kids and families as the main ingredients. Woody and the "Toy Story" gang arrive next to encourage guests to kick up their heels, while Buzz Lightyear and the Little Green Aliens celebrate just how "universal" play can be, in any galaxy. Finally, after the parade has been revving up guests throughout the route, lovable Mater and his flashy buddy Lightning McQueen from "Cars" will bring up the rear. "Pixar Play Parade" will be presented daily in Disney's California Adventure as part of Disney's Year of a Million Dreams celebration at Disneyland Resort. The Resort features two spectacular theme parks - Disneyland (the original Disney theme park) and Disney's California Adventure - plus the Downtown Disney District comprised of unique dining, entertainment and shopping experiences. DISNEYLAND DREAM SUITE WILL BE AWARDED TO A LUCKY GUEST MOST Link: Dream Suite Photo Gallery ANAHEIM, Calif. (January 29, 2008) -- For the first time in history, lucky guests will have the chance to spend an unforgettable night inside Disneyland Park during the Year of a Million Dreams, most nights starting January 31, 2008 as part of the 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway. A guest will be escorted on the same day awarded into the most extraordinary accommodations at Disneyland Resort: the Disneyland Dream Suite, an in-park apartment with special-effects surprises and vintage design elements in each room. The overnight stay in the Disneyland Dream Suite will be a highlight among the more than a million "dream come true" experiences awarded through random process to eligible Disneyland Resort guests and mail-in participants in the 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway. Mail-in winners of prizes that require use on day awarded, such as the Disneyland Dream Suite, will receive a prize of comparable value. Disney Imagineers have devoted months of hard work toward remodeling the suite of rooms above New Orleans Square in the Park, conceived by Walt Disney as a private apartment for his family and closest friends. The rooms, which most recently housed The Disney Gallery, have been restored to Disney's original vision of deluxe living quarters. Vintage design illustrations, created under Disney's personal direction, were recovered and used as inspiration for the look, furnishings and other decor elements in the Suite. Special design touches have been incorporated to evoke memories of Disney's diverse interests and the rich heritage of Disneyland. The guests chosen through a random process to enjoy a "dream stay" in the Disneyland Dream Suite will be following in the footsteps of Walt Disney. His dedication to the constant growth and development of Disneyland Park resulted in frequent overnight stays in a small private apartment which remains today above the Fire House on Main Street, U.S.A. In the 1960s, as plans were developed for the New Orleans Square area, Disney brought in illustrator and designer Dorothea Redmond (Gone with the Wind) and set decorator Emile Kuri (Mary Poppins, It's a Wonderful Life) to help him create a larger, more lavish apartment where he could entertain friends, family, VIP guests and dignitaries. Unfortunately, Disney passed away before the Suite was completed. Over the years, the rooms were used as offices and to entertain visiting business associates until, in 1987, the space became The Disney Gallery, a unique venue displaying artwork originally created during the development of various Disney movies and theme park attractions. Only now, 40 years later, is Disney's dream being fulfilled. The rooms have been returned to their original intended purpose and, as Disney wished, the Disneyland Dream Suite will be occupied by overnight guests. "Our plan has been to use the renderings that Walt worked on with Dorothea Redmond and to replicate those as exactly as we can," said Walt Disney Imagineering Art Director Kim Irvine. "Her illustrations were very specific, with a color and style for each room. "But to make it special for the guests, we want it to be more than just a beautiful suite. We want it to be filled with things that might have inspired Walt as he dreamed of Disneyland." Located above Pirates of the Caribbean in the New Orleans Square section of Disneyland Park, the 2,600-square-foot Disneyland Dream Suite includes a living room, open-air patio, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. In addition to that night's lodging in the Disneyland Dream Suite, each selected 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway winner of the Disneyland Dream Suite will also be celebrated as the Honorary Grand Marshal in that day's Disneyland parade. The winner and their guests will enjoy dinner, late-night snacks and beverages, and the dazzling view overlooking New Orleans Square and the Rivers of America, where a private balcony provides an ideal vantage point on nights when fireworks or the "Fantasmic!" spectacular are presented. Guests may enter the Dream Suite by climbing the grand staircase outside the entrance to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. An elevator will be available to accommodate guests with disabilities. Through the doorway at the top of the stairs is the Living Room, designed in a French Provincial style reflecting the New Orleans Square setting. Unusual decorative items like a full-size carousel horse, a mechanical songbird and original wall paintings of European castles will conjure up memories of Walt Disney and the inspirations that went into creating the magical world of Disneyland. The Suite features not one, but two Master Bedrooms. In one, the spirit of early 20th century innovation and the American frontier are summoned with an earthy color scheme, leather furniture, a cast-iron stove, an electric train and vintage mechanical toys. The other Master Bedroom is on the side of the residence nearest Adventureland, and its lush decor and atmosphere evoke the exotic flavor of jungle adventure stories as told in the Victorian era. The Bayou-themed Patio, central to the Disneyland Dream Suite and open to the sky above, is filled with tropical vegetation, furnished with comfortable chaises and illuminated by Chinese lanterns. Using a type of Disney magic familiar to guests on Pirates of the Caribbean, the Patio is also visited by fireflies. As guests settle in for a stay in the Disneyland Dream Suite, they'll discover special effects surprises in each room. It could be a special tune in a striking clock, a sunset or a starscape that appears when the lights go down, subtle audio enhancements, or something totally unexpected. The Disneyland Dream Suite will be the supreme addition to the catalog of "dreams come true" at the Disneyland Resort during the 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway as the Disney Dream Squad delivers dreams, large and small, to eligible guests selected through a random process. For information on how to enter by mail without visiting the parks, please see below. The 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway is part of the Year of a Million Dreams at Disney Parks. In one, the spirit of early 20th century innovation and the American frontier will be summoned with an earthy color scheme, leather furniture, a cast-iron stove, an electric train and vintage mechanical toys. The other Master Bedroom is on the side of the residence nearest Adventureland, and its lush decor and atmosphere will evoke the exotic flavor of jungle adventure stories as told in the Victorian era. The Bayou-themed Patio, central to the Disneyland Dream Suite and open to the sky above, will be filled with tropical vegetation, furnished with comfortable chaises and illuminated by Chinese lanterns. Using a type of Disney magic familiar to guests on Pirates of the Caribbean, the Patio will also be visited by fireflies. DISNEYLAND RESORT EXPANDING First
West Coast Disney vacation villas planned ANAHEIM,
Calif. Sept 18, 2007 --
Responding to a growing demand for guest accommodations in Anaheim, the
Disneyland Resort today celebrated an expansion of Disney's Grand
Californian Hotel & Spa that will increase accommodations by more than
30 percent and will include the first Disney Vacation Club villas in
Anaheim.
This expansion, scheduled for completion in late 2009, will involve 300
union construction jobs and result in 100 new hotel jobs. It underscores
Disney's long-term commitment to growing and investing in Anaheim. The
expansion also marks the latest in a series of major additions to the
Resort that include the newly launched Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at
Disneyland and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney's California
Adventure.
"This expansion underscores our commitment to growing and investing in
both the Disneyland Resort and the Anaheim Resort Area," said Ed Grier,
president of the Disneyland Resort. "These new hotel rooms and villas
will give more people the opportunity to enjoy the immersive vacation
experience Disney is known for. We know that our guests value being
able to stay in the middle of the magic with our world-class theme
parks, shopping and dining just steps away."
The 2.5-acre expansion on the hotel's south side will add more than 200
new hotel rooms and 50 two-bedroom equivalent vacation villas. Those
vacation villas, to include kitchens, living and dining areas and other
home-like amenities, will mark the West Coast debut of Disney Vacation
Club, Disney's innovative vacation-ownership program.
"For more than 50 years, the Disneyland Resort has been investing in our
community and they have helped us build a world class resort destination
in which all of Anaheim can be proud," Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle said.
"Thanks to Disneyland and the Anaheim Resort Area, Anaheim boasts one of
the fastest growing markets in the country for hotel occupancy."
Other elements planned for the project include a rooftop deck for
viewing fireworks, a new swimming pool and about 300 underground parking
spaces. Peter Dominick of 4240, architect for Disney's Grand Californian
Hotel & Spa as well as Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Animal
Kingdom Lodge at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is designing
the ambitious expansion. It will reflect the same California Arts &
Crafts architecture of the existing hotel, which immerses guests in a
turn-of-the-20th-century California experience.
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa currently features 745 guest
rooms, including 44 suites. Upon completion of the expansion project,
the hotel will feature 945 guest rooms, including 44 guest suites, and
50 Disney Vacation Club two-bedroom equivalent vacation villas.
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is an architectural and artistic
celebration of California's renowned Arts & Crafts style of the late
19th and early 20th centuries.
One of three hotels at the Disneyland Resort (others include Disney's
Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel), Disney's Grand
Californian Hotel & Spa is home to the nationally renowned and
award-winning Napa Rose restaurant, where Wine Country cuisine tempts
taste buds and expert sommeliers help guests make selections from one of
the world's finest collections of California wines. The nearby
Storytellers Cafe lets kids and adults alike enjoy a dining experience
that only Disney can do, complete with an array of popular Disney
characters.
These dining experiences, coupled with a luxury spa, onsite shopping and
other amenities, helped the hotel earn the No. 3 spot on Travel &
Leisure Family magazine's list of the top family-friendly resort
destinations.
Disney Vacation Club
The development of 50 two-bedroom equivalent vacation villas at Disney's
Grand Californian Hotel & Spa represents the first dedicated Disney
Vacation Club accommodations on the West Coast. Disney Vacation Club is
a vacation-ownership program that helps families enjoy flexibility and
savings on vacations for decades to come. By purchasing a real estate
interest in a Disney Vacation Club resort, families enjoy flexible
vacations at Disney destinations worldwide as well as more than 500
other popular Member Getaways vacation locations around the globe.
Disney Vacation Club, currently celebrating its milestone 15th
anniversary, has grown to serve more than 350,000 individual members
from more than 100 countries and all 50 U.S. states.
"We are excited to bring our hugely popular Disney Vacation Club to the
West Coast for the first time," said Jim Lewis, president of Disney
Vacation Club. "Our member community has more than doubled since 2003,
which illustrates families. deep desires to enjoy quality vacations for
years to come. Like most Disney fans, our members have great affection
for the original Disney vacation destination, and we're thrilled that
this expansion project will allow our members to call the Disneyland
Resort 'home' for the first time."
The expansion project marks the latest growth for Disney Vacation Club,
which recently opened the first phases of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas
at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The new Disney Vacation Club
resort, located at the popular Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, is
scheduled to open in phases through early 2009.
Construction is already underway on the new Kidani Village building and
amenities, with completion scheduled for late 2009.

A FAMILY-FRIENDLY HALLOWEEN TRADITION RETURNS AS Halloween
Dreams Come True Beginning Sept 21 ANAHEIM,
Calif. (July 13, 2007) --
Following up on the success of its inaugural season last year,
Disney's HalloweenTime will return to the Disneyland Resort
this fall with a lively mix of Disney characters in seasonal
costumes, whimsical decor, decked-out attractions, themed
shows and tasty treats designed with the whole family in mind.
This inviting interactive Halloween experience at Disneyland
and Disney's California Adventure will begin a week earlier
this year starting Friday, Sept. 21, and continuing through
Wednesday, Oct. 31. HalloweenTime at the Resort is part of the
Year of a Million Dreams celebration at Disney Parks.
All new this Halloween season, the Sunshine Plaza in
California Adventure will become the site of "Candy Corn
Acres," where Mickey Mouse's pal Goofy will set out to grow
the West's biggest and most unusual candy corn: candy corn
coconuts, candy corn carrots and candy corn pumpkins, among
other delicious produce offerings. The Plaza will be overgrown
with the "fruits" of Goofy's labor.
Also expanded will be Mickey's HalloweenTreat, a
separate-ticket nighttime event which gives kids and their
families the opportunity to dress in their Halloween costumes
and trick-or-treat throughout Disney's California Adventure
after it has closed to day guests. This year's HalloweenTreat
will offer tricksters of all ages more treat locations along
with fun character encounters (including an all-new nightly
cavalcade), interactive games, and spirited music with DJ
Mickey. Older kids and parents will want to experience the
heart-dropping Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. and meet the
hotel's ghostly staff members who materialize only during the
Halloween season.
This year, additional nights have been scheduled for Mickey's
HalloweenTreat: Thursdays and Fridays beginning October 4 plus
Monday-Wednesday, October 29-31. Tickets go on sale August 1.
During regular park hours at Disneyland and Disney's
California Adventure, Disney's HalloweenTime will offer
parents and children lots of not-so-scary fun in addition to
the parks' many popular Year of a Million Dreams adventures.
HalloweenTime experiences will include special Halloween
shows, meet-and-greets with Disneyland characters in their
Halloween costumes and spooky-silly holiday themed decorations
which guests begin to spot as soon as they reach the entrances
to the parks.
Jack-o'-lantern creations resembling Mickey Mouse, Minnie
Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto and Goofy will adorn the top of the
Main Entrance to Disneyland park. Across the Esplanade, at the
entrance to Disney's California Adventure park, guests will
see the iconic 11-foot-tall CALIFORNIA letters transformed
into giant pieces of candy corn.
Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland will once again be decked
out for the Main Street Pumpkin Festival. Guests will be
greeted there by Miss Cobbler, Queen of the Pumpkin Festival,
and Constable Jackie O'Leary. More than 300 jack-o'-lanterns
will peek out of shop windows, while festive orange and yellow
bunting will grace the quaint Victorian buildings. The
whimsical 12-foot tall Mickey Mouse jack-o'-lantern, complete
with pumpkin ears, will return to highlight Town Square,
smiling at guests as they enter Main Street and giving them a
playful wink when they depart.
The Central Plaza of Disneyland, near Sleeping Beauty Castle,
will also be specially decorated with Disney
character-inspired jack-o'-lanterns surrounding the famous
"Partners" statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse.
Additionally, the Disney characters themselves will get into
the "spirit" of the occasion, wearing their favorite Halloween
costumes, while meeting and greeting guests.
"Woody's Halloween Roundup" once again will take over Big
Thunder Ranch in Frontierland. The Roundup fun will include a
visit with the animals in the "Petting Boo," crafts and
musical activities including a Halloween Hoedown and a spooky
interactive sing-along version of "Old McDonald Had a Farm"
featuring black cats, ghosts and werewolves. Woody, Jessie and
Bullseye from the Disney*Pixar Toy Story movies will appear
throughout the day on stage in comic adventure tales hosted by
a guitar playing, storytelling cowboy. The Roundup will also
feature an array of tasty treats to satisfy the most monstrous
of appetites, including cotton candy in Halloween colors and
Creepy Cookie Critters that guests create themselves.
Returning to Disney's California Adventure will be the spooky
Hollywood Tower Hotel staff members who haunt the Twilight
Zone Tower of Terror during the Halloween season, and "Golden
Screams," where Disney villains roll out the black carpet for
an awards ceremony - "Best Scream," "Best Act of Villainy" -
held daily inside the Golden Dreams Theatre.
Favorite Disney villains, including Cruella De Vil from 101
Dalmatians, the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland,
Captain Hook from Peter Pan and others, will roam both
Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure for HalloweenTime
meet-and-greets with park guests.
Throughout the Disneyland Resort during Disney's
HalloweenTime, families can enjoy unique Halloween-themed food
items including Zero's Ghostly Ghoulash, a favorite of Jack
Skellington's pet in "Haunted Mansion Holiday," and
merchandise including Disney costumes, collectible pins and
coins, and a special set of Halloween-themed Mickey Mouse ears
resembling a Mickey jack-o'-lantern.
And no Halloween celebration at Disneyland would be complete
without the return of Jack Skellington and his friends to
transform the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square into the
popular seasonal "Haunted Mansion Holiday." Inspired by the
innovative animated film Tim Burton's Nightmare Before
Christmas, "Haunted Mansion Holiday" depicts the holiday
mayhem that occurs when Halloween and Christmas traditions
collide.
Disney's HalloweenTime will be presented throughout the
Disneyland Resort from Sept. 21 . Oct. 31, 2007 as part of the
Year of a Million Dreams celebration at the Resort. For more

FROM THE SILVER SCREEN TO DISNEYLAND RESORT: ANAHEIM,
Calif. June 11, 2007 --
The subs are once again diving and the pirates are even more
conniving as Disneyland Resort launches into summer during the
Year of a Million Dreams celebration. Disney officials today dedicated Finding Nemo Submarine
Voyage, the much-anticipated return of a classic attraction
with a technological twist that immerses guests into the
colorful underwater world of the clownfish Nemo and his
friends. "We're here today to celebrate a classic Disneyland
attraction which, through a brilliant marriage of phenomenal
storytelling and innovative technology, has been transformed
into a vibrant new experience - one that will no doubt
rekindle nostalgic memories for many adults," said Bob Iger,
Disney President & CEO. He praised the team from
Disney*Pixar Animation, adding, "We"ve drawn fresh
inspiration from the terrific story that our colleagues at
Pixar created for their brilliant landmark animated film,
Finding Nemo." Jay Rasulo, Chairman of Disney Parks & Resorts, noted that
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage continued a legacy of
innovation in family entertainment at Disney Parks. "The return of the Submarine Voyage is a dream-come-true,"
Rasulo said. "How many kids - who have since become parents
- have wished to take their own children on this magical
voyage of discovery beneath the ocean waters?" A weekend of festivities surrounded the official launch of
the submarines, with dozens of celebrities from the world of
film, television and sports experiencing the attraction and
the new Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, where the
excitement of the summer's blockbuster, Pirates of the
Caribbean: At World's End, comes to life in a new, immersive
entertainment experience. The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and Pirate's Lair
attractions are just part of the fun of Disney's Year of a
Million Dreams, a first of its kind celebration of guests.
dreams at Disneyland and Walt Disney World resorts. Some of the Year of a Million Dreams fun unveiled during the event
included: * Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage: Officially opening to Disneyland
park guests today, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage features extensively
enhanced versions of the original 1959 Disneyland submarines in a brand
new adventure. Submarine voyagers go on an underwater expedition and discover
Nemo and his finned friends from the hit Disney*Pixar animated film,
Finding Nemo. Thanks to cutting-edge imaging technology created by Walt Disney
Imagineering, Finding Nemo characters come to life right before guests.
eyes in the brilliantly-colored lagoon. The submarine vehicles are
enhanced in a number of ways, including a conversion from the diesel
power of the 1950s to environmentally friendly, fully electric power. With new on-board audio, guests hear the sounds and voices of the
underwater characters as they move alongside the submarine. Sounds are
synchronized to travel along with the figures using a four-channel,
stereophonic sound system. Throughout the voyage, guests can eavesdrop
on the exploits of favorite Finding Nemo characters like Dory, Marlin,
Crush the turtle, Bruce the shark and, of course, Nemo. After experiencing a sub-shaking volcanic eruption, the vessel
dives alongside a breathtakingly beautiful coral reef where Marlin, Nemo
and all their friends gather to celebrate the successful expedition. In addition to the wonder of seeing Nemo and his friends swimming
off the 2-D silver screen and into the 3-D lagoon environment, guests
are immersed in astonishingly colorful environments. Walt Disney
Imagineering used recycled glass to provide a sparkling deep sea
environment that also will last longer under water. * New Immersive Entertainment Experiences: Pirates plunder,
princesses reign supreme, Jedi Masters rule and guests catch Wildcat
Fever in four new immersive entertainment experiences at Disneyland
Resort. At Disneyland park, adventurers can explore the new Pirate's
Lair on Tom Sawyer Island while lords and ladies can join the royal
court in Disney Princess Fantasy Faire, and Jedi warriors can duel with
Darth Vader at the Jedi Training Academy. And at Disney's California
Adventure park, guests of all ages can show their team spirit at the
High School Musical Pep Rally. * Disney Parks Offers New, In-Park Wireless Fun: Pirates
aficionados who are gamers can find a bounty of buccaneer booty thanks
to a Disney Parks wireless initiative that brings technology to life
like never before. Created in partnership with Disney Interactive Studios for
Disneyland and Walt Disney World resorts, guests with a Nintendo DS. and
a copy of the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End Nintendo DS video
game can download content only found in Disney Parks in Southern
California and Florida. At Disneyland, half the fun is discovering
"hotspot" locations in New Orleans Square (hint: as every pirate knows,
X marks the spot) for downloads that unlock new content, such as
unlimited health and "savvy" as well as fun extras and additional
costumes. This special content is only available in the parks through
Labor Day Weekend 2007. * Purchasing Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets Now More
Convenient Than Ever: "Disney's eTicket" is the newest option for guests
purchasing tickets to Disneyland and Disney"s California Adventure theme
parks. Officially launched April 30, 2007, Disney's eTicket offers
guests the ease and convenience of purchasing their tickets online - 24
hours, seven days a week - and printing them in advance at
www.disneyland.com/eticket. Once at the theme park, guests with
Disney's eTickets can go directly to the park entrance without waiting
at ticket windows. The Dreams Never End: What's Next? * Toy Story Mania Sweeps Disney's California Adventure:
Coming in 2008, Disney's California Adventure guests will be transformed
into Toy Story "maniacs" when their favorite Disney*Pixar pals take them
inside a fun-filled adventure in a new immersive attraction, Toy Story
Mania. Celebrating the Disney*Pixar hit films Toy Story and Toy Story
II, Toy Story Mania will take the interactive ride-game experience to
exciting new heights. High-tech yet rooted in classic midway games of
skill, Toy Story Mania will immerse guests into the "Toy Story" world as
never before. Donning 3-D glasses, guests shrink to the size of a toy
and hop into fanciful ride vehicles that travel and twist along a
colorful midway-themed route. Upon arrival at each game booth, they
will take aim for animated targets using their own special on-board "toy
cannon." As guests score points, they will be cheered on by favorite Toy
Story friends including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Hamm, Bo Peep and the
Little Green Men. * Disney Cruise Line Returns to West Coast in 2008: Disney Cruise
Line announced it will return to the West Coast for the summer of 2008
to once again offer its highly popular seven-night Mexican Riviera
sailings aboard the Disney Magic. Beginning May 25, 2008, the Disney
Magic is scheduled to sail 12 consecutive seven-night cruise vacations
from the Port of Los Angeles to the Mexican Riviera ports of Cabo San
Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. Guests booking a Mexican Riviera
cruise can combine the enchantment of a Disney Cruise Line vacation with
the fun and excitement of Disneyland Resort by booking a two-night pre-
or post-stay at one of Disney's three Anaheim resort hotels. About Disney Parks' Year of a Million Dreams Highlighted this summer by the Grand Opening of the Finding Nemo

FROM DISNEYLAND TO THE MOVIES AND BACK AGAIN! ANAHEIM,
Calif. May 22, 2007 --
A longtime favorite Disneyland Resort attraction is reopening
May 25 with new swashbuckling adventures as Captain Jack
Sparrow and his gaggle of mates take over Tom Sawyer Island
and turn it into their own "Pirate's Lair." The pirates will
loot and carouse as they attempt to recruit island guests into
their brotherhood of freedom and greed at Pirate's Lair on Tom
Sawyer Island.
"The phenomenal popularity of the Pirates of the Caribbean
franchise has allowed our Imagineers and cast members to
bring the classic Tom Sawyer Island pirate experience alive
in new, entertaining and fun ways like only Disney can do,"
said Ed Grier, President of Disneyland Resort. "Through
Disney's signature brand of storytelling, guests will be
immersed in a pirate experience like no other and find new
ways to explore an island that's been taken over by some of
the most popular characters from the Pirates franchise,
including Captain Jack Sparrow himself."
Pirates aficionados who are gamers also will find a bounty of
buccaneer booty when a Disney Parks wireless initiative
brings technology to life like never before. Created in
partnership with Disney Interactive Studios for Disneyland
and Walt Disney World, guests with a Nintendo DS and a copy
of the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End Nintendo DS
video game will be able to download content only found in
Disney Parks in Southern California and Florida.
"The Year of a Million Dreams has been all about immersing
our guests in the excitement of Disneyland, and this in-park
videogame content is a groundbreaking way for them to
participate in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' adventure,"
said Grier.
In Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End for Nintendo DS,
players take on the roles of Captain Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth
Swann and Will Turner in a journey based on the events,
environments and characters seen on the silver screen in
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
Developed by Amaze Entertainment and published by Disney
Interactive Studios, the game is rated E 10+ for "Everyone
ten and older" by the Entertainment Software Rating Board
(ESRB) and will be available at retailers nationwide as well
as for purchase in the parks.
At Disneyland, half the fun will be discovering "hotspot"
locations in New Orleans Square (hint: as every pirate knows,
X marks the spot) for downloads that unlock new content such
as unlimited health and "savvy" as well as fun extras and
additional costumes. This special content is only available
in the parks through Labor Day weekend and is accessible with
a Nintendo DS.
Both Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island and the Nintendo DS
in-park play opportunities are additions to the line-up of
the new immersive experiences debuting in 2007 as part of the
Year of a Million Dreams celebration at Disney Parks.
Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island makes its debut day and
date with the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's
End, the third film in the popular Disney movie franchise.
Building upon the hands-on play and exploration that have
made the island a Disneyland favorite for children and adults
alike since it opened more than 50 years ago, Pirate's Lair
takes its inspiration from Tom and Huck's pirate games
chronicled in Mark Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, as
well as from Disneyland's famed Pirates of the Caribbean
attraction and the blockbuster motion picture series.
The Pirate's Lair experience embarks when aspiring pirates
traverse the Rivers of America in Frontierland on rafts --
with island maps in hand -- and head ashore at Pirate Point
where they are greeted by Captain Jack Sparrow's warning of
his presence on the isle.
Guests will soon discover that Captain Jack has joined his
fellow adventurers from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies
in a plan to overtake Tom Sawyer Island. William Turner has
set up his blacksmith shop on Pirate Point and Elizabeth
Swann has landed, as evidenced by her framed portrait, signed
love letters and diary.
Quarrelsome pirates Pintel and Ragetti also have staked their
claim. Appearing as special effects in the form of a pop-up
head and a spooky skeletal arm, the pair attempts to frighten
off would-be treasure-snatchers and other plunderers.
Cavern explorers in Dead Man's Grotto will encounter ghostly
apparitions, buried treasure and mysterious voices, as well
as discover an ornate chest that holds the heart of the
villainous Davy Jones. Brave souls seeking to claim the
cherished chest will be shocked to feel the thump of his
beating heart and hear the strains of his ghostly voice.
In a watery inlet alongside a ramshackle barrel bridge in
Smuggler's Cove, treasure seekers might spot a sunken ship. A
closer look discovers a chest that can only be revealed by
operating a hoist to lift it from its underwater nest.
Unwitting guests roaming the island may stumble upon a rather
intimidating suspended bone cage, similar to the one depicted
in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. However, this
seemingly unfortunate situation could lend itself as the
perfect opportunity to pose for photos as trapped prisoners
of the cannibal tribe that menaced Captain Jack.
Down another path, guests may meet up with roving pirates
seeking new recruits to take the Pirate Oath, as well as The
Bootstrappers, a fun-loving band of rogues who are always
looking high and low for sing-a-long participants.
Guests also should keep a keen lookout for pirates at other
island landmarks like Tom & Huck's Treehouse and Castle Rock,
where -- as legend has it -- marauders have stashed their
hoard of loot.
Captain Jack and several sly, cunning pirates take to the
swords in "Jack Sparrow's Swashbuckling Adventure," an
interactive and high-energy live performance. During the
show, Captain Jack tricks a fellow pirate into helping him
retrieve a map from the Casque of the Unknown that leads to
the ultimate buried treasure. A brawl ensues and the pirates
engage in swordplay, acrobatics and a cannon battle in their
quest for the revered map. The performance runs several times
daily on the island.
The crafty Captain Jack Sparrow, his ruthless and cunning
nemesis Barbossa, and Davy Jones, the legendary ruler of the
ocean depths, continue to entertain Disney park guests as
part of the "wildest crew to ever sack the Spanish Main" in
the classic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland
and Walt Disney World.
Tom Sawyer Island opened in June 1956. It claims the
distinction of being the only attraction personally designed
by Walt Disney.
Along with the arrival of Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island,
summer 2007 will mark the return of FANTASMIC! This dazzling
adventure inside Mickey Mouse's magical imagination is an
extravaganza of characters, light and special effects. It
will be performed on the Rivers of America around Tom Sawyer
Island beginning in June.
Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island joins a full lineup of
immersive experiences to be found at Disneyland during the
Year of a Million Dreams celebration in 2007. The Resort is
celebrating its "Dreams Come True" heritage by making
literally millions of dreams, large and small, come true for
eligible guests. Many money-can't-buy experiences - from
exclusive Dream FASTPASSES for popular Disney attractions to
around-the-world vacations or a stay in the special Mickey
Mouse Penthouse at the Disneyland Hotel - will be awarded at
random. There are other "Dreams Come True" opportunities for
guests to meet and play with Disney Princesses at Disney
Princess Fantasy Faire, duel with Darth Vader at Jedi
Training Academy, create mayhem with the denizens of Pirate's
Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, or show their school spirit by
joining in the fun of the High School Musical Pep Rally at
Disney's California Adventure park. The Year of a Million
Dreams continues throughout 2007 both at Disneyland Resort
and at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

WORLD PREMIERE CELEBRATION FOR DISNEY'S THIRD "PIRATES"
STAR-STUDDED SWASHBUCKLING DISNEYLAND PREMIERE ON MAY 19TH IS
The Walt Disney Company is helping to make wishes come true
for children all over the world by donating proceeds from the
highly anticipated World Premiere of Walt Disney
Pictures/Jerry Bruckheimer Films' "Pirates of the Caribbean:
At World's End," to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America and
Make-A-Wish® International, it was announced today by Dick
Cook, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. The event will take
place on May 19th at Disneyland® Park in Anaheim, California,
with all of the film's stars expected to participate. This
gala celebration for the third installment of the enormously
popular "Pirates" saga will raise $3 million for Make-A-Wish
efforts, with Disney providing an initial donation in excess
of $1 million to the charities, in addition to underwriting
the entire cost of the Premiere (so that 100 percent of the
ticket income will benefit both Make-A-Wish organizations).
This is the first time that the public has been invited to
participate in a "Pirates" Premiere. Individual tickets are
priced at $1,500, and are now available for sale at
www.piratespremiere.com. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of
America and Make-A-Wish International are dedicated to
granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical
conditions in order to enrich the human experience with hope,
strength and joy.
Commenting on the announcement, Cook said, "Disney is
dedicated to making dreams come true and we're extremely proud
to be lending our support to the Make-A-Wish Foundation with
this benefit World Premiere of 'Pirates' to make a difference.
The Studio is extremely excited about the upcoming release of
'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' and we're pulling
out all the stops to give it the send-off it deserves with a
magnificent gala event at Disneyland. Disney has been a
longtime supporter of this wonderful organization and we're
excited to be doing something special to bring smiles to the
children and their families, giving them magical moments to
share."
Over the past 25 years, Disney has continued to support the
Make-A-Wish cause, contributing more than $10 million in cash
and in-kind donations on an annual basis. With more than 6,000
wishes granted each year including visits to the Disney Parks,
Disney Cruises, meeting Disney Characters and visiting TV and
movie sets, including "Pirates of the Caribbean" films,
Disney-themed wishes continue to be the most popular requests.
"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" picks up where the
record-breaking 2006 smash hit left off, with our heroes Will
Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley)
allied with Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) in a desperate
quest to free Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from his
mind-bending trap in Davy Jones' locker. With the terrifying
ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman, and its commander Davy Jones
under the control of the East India Trading Company, there is
havoc on the Seven Seas. Navigating through treachery,
betrayal and wild waters, the heroic trio must forge their way
to exotic Singapore and confront the cunning Pirate Sao Feng
(Chow Yun-Fat). Now headed beyond the very ends of the earth,
each must ultimately choose a side in a final titanic battle -
as not only their lives and fortunes, but the entire future of
the freedom-loving Pirate way hangs in the balance. Produced
by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Gore Verbinski from a
screenplay written by Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio, our beloved
cast sets sail again on a fresh new adventure in May 2007.
Twenty-five American Workers Escape the Daily Grind to ANAHEIM,
Calif. April 17, 2007 --
After nearly 1 million votes, America is sending 25 of
their favorite Dream "Job" finalists to Disneyland
Resort in June. The most popular videos included a
Princess-in-Waiting, who received more than 70,000 votes
and a Haunted Mansion Butler/Maid who received nearly
50,000 votes.
Each winner will live out their ultimate Disney Dream
"Job" in one of the five categories: Jungle Cruise
Skipper, Pirate, Haunted Mansion Butler or Maid,
Princess-in-Waiting and Disney Park Parade Performer.
"When we announced our Dream 'Job' search, I'm not sure
we realized just how wildly popular the initiative would
be; the response has been simply overwhelming," said
Michael Mendenhall, executive vice president, global
marketing, Disney Destinations. "America had some tough
choices to make with so many creative and entertaining
video resumes. We look forward to welcoming them into
their Dream 'Job' roles this June."
Spanning 50 states, Disneyland will welcome winners from
California to New York. Whether it's perfecting the
royal wave or mastering their most chilling grins, each
winner will have two months to hone their talents.
From make-up and rehearsals to costume fittings in one
of the world's largest wardrobes, winners will serve as
"Honorary Disney Cast Members for the Day" and
experience what it's like to be a Disney Park cast
member. Additionally, the Dream "Job" winners will take
part in a unique learning experience where they are
immersed in various Disney traditions before they
carry-out their "job" for the day. Winners will also be
given a special opportunity to ride Disneyland's newest
attraction, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, which
officially opens to the public on June 11.
A Glimpse Into Each Dream "Job"
Each Pirate will be given a distinct personality, name and
"cursed" prop inspired by the "Pirates of the Caribbean"
movies as they join the Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island.
Dream "Job" Pirates will interact with guests, their fellow
Pirate crew and, of course, Captain Jack Sparrow.
As the Haunted Mansion Butlers and Maids steadfastly work to
create the most chilling atmosphere in all of Disneyland, they
will greet and welcome guests who enter the world-famous
"expanding room." The Butlers will also act as
"groundskeepers" who walk "ghost dogs" outside and around the
mansion, while the Maids perform in the foyer.
Disney's Princesses-in-Waiting will join the rest of the
"Princess Fantasy Faire" at the Fantasyland Theater. The
princesses will interact with guests before the "Royal
Coronation Ceremony" and help demonstrate how to properly wave
and curtsey, as well as teach the guests the Royal Dance.
Disney Parks Parade Performers will play an instrumental role
in Disney's "High School Musical Pep Rally" parade as part of
the "East High School" ensemble. Each Parade Performer will
participate in the basketball shoot-around and showcase their
special Wildcat moves to help spread "Wildcat Fever."
