Each year Mickey hosts a Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom. This is a hard ticket event -- meaning you need to purchase a separate ticket for entry (just like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party). The Magic Kingdom is transformed into a fun spooky haven for trick-or-treaters of all ages.

Special Guide Tips -- Some Spoilers
Information Based on 2005 Party

Amy Magnan

For those who have been there in the past, we all know EVERYONE is welcome to dress up in costume & trick-or-treat throughout the park. Costumes must be in good form so nothing too scary or gruesome and you can't wear a costume that features a mascot head (a mask that has complete cranium coverage so no one can see your head). This is so no one can be confused with the entertainment at the party. Otherwise, children and adults are all more than welcome to dress up in costume and trick-or-treat throughout the park.

Happy HalloWISHES: Grim Grinning Ghosts Come Out to Socialize. (No character flies from the castle during this performance)

The fireworks opened up w/ The Haunted Mansion's "Ghost Host" as 'Grim Grinning Ghosts' & 'This is Halloween' played throughout with loads of green, blue, purple & orange, & white fireworks.

"Trick-or-Treaters" appear & "ring" the castle door. The ringing is also accompanied by a small bright white firework coming out from the castle door.

Ursula, Jafar, Snow Queen, Oogie Boogie are all trick-or-treaters & all feature their own mini segment of the show. Favorite Villain Songs are played & sung with their own theme fireworks: Cruella DeVil, Oogie Boogie, Pink Elephants, Hellfire, Poor Unfortunate Souls, Big Bad Wolf, Heffalumps & Woozles are a few to name along with fireworks that form shapes like Jack-o'-lanterns, faces, & Cruella DeVil style hair. All throughout: spooky images of the characters & ghosts are all over the castle & there is a light fog that covers the ground giving it an extra spooky touch!

Perimeter fireworks (fireworks that are shot AROUND the Magic Kingdom -- not just behind the castle) are towards the end & they were gorgeous.

This show is all new for 2005 & may very well be one of the BEST fireworks presentations Disney has ever offered. EVERYONE will enjoy this presentation. Best viewing for the show is: Main Street USA, Mickey's Toontown Fair, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland.

Mickey's Boo-To-You Parade:

Features all your favorite characters as always with a wonderful soundtrack.

* The first batch of characters to lead it off parading down the street are: Aladdin, Jasmine, Snow White, Dopey, Mad Hatter, Alice, Pinocchio & Geppetto & each has a mask.

* Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Daisy have the first float & are of course in their costumes. Mickey is a jester, Minnie a witch, Donald a prince & Daisy a princess.

* Next to make their way down the street is the Hundred Acre Wood Gang led by Christopher Robin himself, followed by Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore & Piglet all in costume! Rabbit, Kanga & Roo are on the float following close behind.

*Next float is Peter Pan, Wendy & the Lost Boys. Tailing right behind them is a float featuring the Pirates of the Carribbean singing "Yo Ho! Yo Ho! A Pirates Life for Me!" Atop the Pirates float is none other than Captain Hook & Smee. Chasing close behind the Pirates float is the hungry & humorous Tick-Tock the Crock from Peter Pan.

*The next segment of the parade is probably the coolest segment. It features The Haunted Mansion & first walking down the street is the Haunted Mansion's groundskeeper with his dim lantern in one hand & his bloodhound on a leash beside him. (Yes, the dog is real!) Following behind them are the Haunted Mansion ballroom dancers, and a float featuring the infamous three hitchhiking ghosts all singing "Grim Grinning Ghosts." Tailing behind the float are the Haunted Mansion grave diggers with shovels.

*The next segment of the parade is the good old-fashioned country square dance led by Horace Horsecollar & The Country Bears. On the silo barn float is the number one cowgirl: Clarabell Cow! Behind her, Chip & Dale, Br'er Rabbit & Br'er Bear along with some dance partners are do-si-do-ing and inviting everyone to clap along. On a barn float behind them is the queen of the coop: Clara Cluck singing and clucking high in her top-floor henhouse.

*All the villains are next (did you really think they were gonna miss out on their favorite time of year?) and what a crowd there was: Cruella, Snow Queen, Big Bad Wolf, Honest John Foulfellow, Stromboli, Sherriff of Nottingham, Queen of Hearts, Maleficent, Jafar, Frollo, are all parading the streets. On the float behind them is a skeleton band with the Magic Mirror above them. The back of the float features Pain and Panic from Hercules followed by Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, the three hyenas from The Lion King.

*The finale features Pluto dressed as a baker and Goofy dressed as a Candystriper. Goofy sits in his "Goofy's Candy Company" car telling everyone that there's plenty of candy to go around and behind him are his assistant candy makers pushing pushcarts full of giant Goofy's Candy Bags. After all, it is all of his candy stations guests are trick-or-treating at!

Trick-or-Treating

PLENTY of trick-or-treating stations all throughout the park featuring many name-brand candies.

But probably the most fun trick-or-treat stops were the Character Paths in Adventureland at the Jungle Cruise & the bridge from Mickey's Toontown Fair to Tomorrowland. Along the paths there are multiple candy stations along w/ character meet & greets: Adventureland friends include: Terk, Tarzan, King Louie, Baloo, & Rafiki. The bridge from Toontown to Tomorrowland is Alice & Mad Hatter's Treat path & along the path you can meet with: Alice, Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, Mr. Walrus, White Rabbit, & the queen's army of playing cards.
