INTRODUCTION 

Storm Force Accelatron is located between The Incredible Hulk Coaster and Cafe 4 and can be easily missed due the crowds that gather for the The Hulk. Set back from the main walkway of this gleaming comic book city, this is Universal's pumped up version of the teacups at Magic Kingdom.

ATTRACTION

Storm Force Accelatron -- Take a spin in a Power Orb designed by Professor Xavier and help Storm (super heroine from the X-Men) defeat the evil Magneto.  As you enter the geodesic dome topped with a 20-foot lightning rod, you will learn that Storm, mistress of the weather, needs your help. The specially designed ride vehicles can convert human energy into electrical forces through the power of "cyclospin." By turning the wheel in the center of your power orb you can generate enough power to defeat Magneto. And of course, the faster you turn the center wheel, the faster you spin. 

Each car is designed to hold up to 4 adults. All the cars are on a spinning disc with four smaller circles that also spin. The smaller circles contain 3 cars each. This is a great attraction to ride at night because of the special lighting effects created by Professor Xavier's power generator.

TOURING TIPS

Storm Force Accelatron is a Universal Express Attraction.

This attraction no longer has a minimum height restriction but kids under 48" must be accompanied by an adult to ride Storm Force Accelatron. Not recommended for expectant mothers, or those with a history of neck or back conditions, heart trouble, conditions aggravated by strobe effects or susceptible to motion sickness. Wheelchair users must be able to transfer to the ride vehicle's seating.

The nearest restrooms are located directly across from the entrance to the Incredible Hulk Coaster next to Cafe 4.

Electronic lockers are available free of charge for the first hour of use so you can stow loose items and bags. They are located to the right of this attractions entry.

KIDS AND CHARACTERS

Many of the rides at Marvel Super Hero Island are too intense for little ones. Storm Force Accelatron is the most kid-friendly attraction on this island. Visit the Kingpin's Arcade, it's a great place to spend some time and even have the young ones' faces painted.  

Characters are plentiful at Marvel Super Hero Island. Storm and Wolverine from the X-Men and Captain America generally arrive on All Terrain Vehicles several times a day for photos and autographs. And the biggest fan favorite, Spiderman can be found signing autographs in the back of the Spider-Man Store. Universal Photographers are also on hand to take pictures, which can be immediately viewed and purchased. Check your park guide for exact times and locations of all character Meet and Greets. 

DINING

Cafe 4 - Featuring a variety of pizza, pasta and chicken. Due to the decor and design of this restaurant, it is reminiscent of an old cafeteria shop and can be very loud during busy times.

Captain America Diner - All-American burgers and super fries. Enjoy lunch or dinner inside or outside. This restaurant participates in the Universal Meal Deal, when available. 

Chill Ice Cream - Cones, cups and floats featuring Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream

Fruit - The name says it all. Fresh fruits and beverages.

Cotton Candy - Cotton candy, pretzels and snacks.

Spider-Man Shop - Toys, apparel, souvenirs, sun and camera items. Character photo area located in the back of the shop.

The Marvel Alterniverse Store - Marvel gifts and souvenirs. You will exit thru this shop after riding The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man.

Comic Book Shop - Marvel comics and books.

Oakley - Designer sunglasses.

Amazing Pictures - Have your photo inserted in any magazine cover or with your favorite characters.

INTERESTING FACTS

The length of the ride is approximately 2 minutes.

The 75 foot aluminum dome build by Temcor has a rise of 13' and is mounted to 13.5' support columns. Temcor is the largest builder of aluminum domes and some of their domes can be found in Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Paris.
