When traveling, it’s expected that something unexpected is going to happen.
Unfortunately, we can’t control the weather and sometimes that can put a huge damper on your travels. We recently reported that severe weather was headed toward Disney World today and now that is impacting flights at Orlando International Airport (MCO).
Orlando International Airport took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share a warning about the weather. It says “Due to weather conditions, airline operations may be impacted – flight/baggage delivery delays may occur.”
Weather Alert ⛈️ Due to weather conditions, airline operations may be impacted – flight/baggage delivery delays may occur. Please check with your airline directly for any updates regarding their operations. For airport status, visit: https://t.co/vm0yMYHkcv. Thank you. https://t.co/7NhHaNWxMU

The National Airspace System Status posted an update about MCO saying flights at the airport are delayed 60 minutes on average (and increasing).
We also checked with Flight Aware which as of 4PM ET on April 3rd posted 530 delayed flights and 93 cancelled flights.
We know — delayed flights are no fun. If you are flying in or out of Orlando Airport today, check in with your airline to see the status of your flight. Also, don’t forget to take a deep breath.
