There are always lots of new shows and movies coming to Disney+ including a new season of Doctor Who, a new season of Monsters at Work, and a documentary about The Beach Boys.
However, with the addition of each new show and movie, we usually have to say goodbye to some of our favorites.
The addition and removal of shows has always been a part of the entertainment industry, but sometimes it is so hard to see some shows go. These are four canceled shows we are still a bit sad about losing.
Secrets of Sulphur Springs
This show lasted for three full seasons before it didn’t get renewed. We were hooked after the first season, and this was a show we were really sad to see go. Especially since the third season ended with a huge cliffhanger. Come on Disney, we can’t end a show like that!
The Muppets Mayhem
The Muppets Mayhem only lasted for one season before it reached the chopping block. Viewers followed The Muppets’ band called The Electric Mayhem on a music-filled journey. We are always rooting for more Muppets content, so we were sad to see this show get the boot.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers
This show was a follow-up to the 1992 movie and lasted for two seasons before it was canceled. The show featured the Ducks’ original coach, Gordon Bombay, as the characters formed a team of underdogs.
The Mysterious Benedict Society
Lastly, we have The Mysterious Benedict Society. This show was inspired by a book series and lasted for two seasons before it was canceled. The show followed a group of orphans who are recruited for a secret mission. We fell in love with the characters, and we would have loved to see a third season of this show.
While we will miss these shows and wish there had been more, we are still excited for upcoming movies and TV shows from Disney. When one door closes, another one opens!

I don’t know why Disney can’t get a successful Muppets show going! Muppets Mayhem was critically acclaimed, and the only reasons I can think it didn’t get renewed was low ratings or high production costs.
As for Mighty Ducks: Gamechangers, the writing was on the wall before the second season even began with the firing of Emilio Estevez. Mighty Ducks isn’t Mighty Ducks without him (see the Mighty Ducks 3 movie if you need more evidence of this).
