I Spent YEARS in Disney World Finding the Best Bathrooms So You Don’t Have To

When you gotta go, you gotta go, and these are the best places to go at Disney World.

Cinderella Castle

We often talk about Disney World essentials. Essential items to bring, essential items to buy, essential rides to ride, essential restaurants to visit, etc. However, there is one human essential we don’t discuss that often: bathrooms. They’re not always the most fun thing to talk about — in theme parks or otherwise — but their importance can’t be denied. So, if you’re at Disney World and NEED to go, what are the best options? We’ve got you covered.

Magic Kingdom: Tangled Bathrooms

Probably the most famous — or in some cases infamous — bathrooms at the Magic Kingdom, these Tangled restrooms are located on the border of Fantasyland, between “it’s a small world” and the Haunted Mansion. The bathrooms themselves are large and well-kept, but the biggest reason they’re well known is their theming. Between the massive facade, the fountain, and all the easter eggs to Tangled, these are EASILY the best-themed bathrooms at Disney World. Some people love that, while others feel like all of this theming wasn’t worth it for “just” a bathroom.

EPCOT: American Adventure

EPCOT has a number of really good bathroom options — the Imagination bathrooms come to mind — but the crown still belongs to the American Adventure’s bathrooms. They’re massive, and often not super crowded. They’re definitely the best option in World Showcase, and worth going out of your way to get to… if you can make it.

NEW CHALLENGER: Moana Journey of Water

However, there’s a new challenger for EPCOT’s new overall best bathroom. There’s a bathroom in the middle of Moana’s Journey of Water that provides a perfect spot to have a mid-attraction bathroom break, and as a bonus, change youngins’ out of their wet swimsuits. We probably still give the advantage to American Adventure because of their size, but it’s close.

Hollywood Studios: Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Area

Now, this is based on current events. These aren’t the best themed bathrooms at Hollywood Studios — that crown probably goes to Hollywood Brown Derby, Galaxy’s Edge, or the Roundup Rodeo BBQ restaurant in Toy Story Land — however right now they’re the best option at the park because they’re empty thanks to Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster’s on-going refurbishment.

Animal Kingdom: Flight of Passage Queue

This is another “location, location, location” win. There are better themed — Restaurantosaurus — and emptier — Rafiki’s Planet Watch — bathroom options at Animal Kingdom, but we have to give the top spot at the park to the Flight of Passage queue bathrooms. They’re not heavily themed, but given how long the lines usually are for this Avatar E-Ticket ride, they might be the park’s most necessary.

Hotel Restaurant: Victoria and Albert’s

Victoria and Albert’s is the most upscale restaurant on Disney property, and their bathrooms live up to that.

Hotel Lobby: Contemporary

The Contemporary lobby’s bathrooms are HUGE, and often relatively empty as most people immediately head up to the Grand Canyon concourse.

These are some of the best bathrooms at Disney World, and definitely something to keep in mind next time you’ve “gotta go” at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
