People are still asking the question: “When is the best time to go to Disney World?”
We are there year-round and we have to say…it really depends! Of course, there are months and seasons to avoid if you don’t want heavy crowds like the holidays or spring break, but the time of year that you visit really depends on your preferences or when you can fit in a trip. However, since events and certain holidays including Easter change from year to year, the crowd levels can vary and sometimes we’ve been surprised at how empty the parks feel!
Weekends are notoriously busy for theme parks — many people are off work and can travel while locals have time to pop into the parks. That’s why we were surprised to see the Magic Kingdom wait times so low on Sunday, May 12th. This was Mother’s Day, but we don’t usually see that have much of an impact on the crowds.
While some other parks posted triple-digit wait times throughout the day, Magic Kingdom had NONE. That’s right — everything, including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, stayed below triple digits. Now, this isn’t the case for every Sunday, but it certainly caught our attention and had us questioning if that’s a better day to visit Magic Kingdom.
