Over in Universal Orlando, Universal has been working on creating DreamWorks Land out of the area that used to house Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone. This new area features popular IP from the DreamWorks franchise, and today we got a first look at what this new land looks like!

Back in April, it was announced that this new area would be opening June 14th! And recently, thanks to a media event, we got to be among the first to step inside.

Still in tech rehearsal!

The first area we got to see was Shrek’s Swamp, inspired by the Shrek films.

You see the swamp back there?

There’s even an entire swamp-themed splash pad! This will be a great replacement for the Curious George-themed one that was in this area previously.

There are lots of details throughout that fans of the films will love…

An ode to King Harold!

…including this nod to Fiona’s father, King Harold! There’s an entire symphony of singing frogs over here.

Inside Shrek’s Swamp, you’ll be able to meet a variety of characters from the films, including Shrek, Donkey, and more!

There’s also a massive play area for your little ones where they can run, climb, slide, and explore. Lots of space to work off some steam! You might even get the chance to say hi to Pinocchio.

After that, we came to the Trolls section of DreamWorks land! Here, you’ll find the brand-new Trolls Trollercoaster. This kid-friendly ride will have you meeting up with Poppy, Branch, and the gang.

High Five Hideaway is a new gift shop in this area where you can find all the best souvenirs!

As you head toward the back of the land, you’ll find a NEW show in the theater where Barney used to be! This offering is called DreamWorks Imagination Celebration and lasts about 20 minutes.

Trolls characters!

The show featured several fan-favorite characters, including Branch, Poppy, Shrek, Donkey, Dragon, and Po! If your family is a fan of any of those films, you might want to check this out.

Po on stage!

In the back of the land where the Curious George play area used to live, you’ll find the new Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp. There is plenty of play space here, including water play areas.

The indoor section include’s Po Live, where you can interact with Po the panda via a screen and ask him questions.

Make sure you head inside!

We bet the kids will love this feature as they learn to become Kung Fu masters!

It’s Po!

That’s a wrap on everything we saw in DreamWorks Land, but we’ll make sure to share more when it opens soon.

We can’t wait to officially be able to explore this new land in less than a month, and you know we’ll be taking you along with us on opening day!
