I Spent $130 at Disney World’s Newest Restaurant. Here’s What I’d Order Again.

There’s a NEW restaurant in Disney World, and you don’t even need a park ticket to visit!

The back patio at Summer House on the Lake

Summer House on the Lake recently opened in the West Side section of Disney Springs, and it’s absolutely STUNNING. You can dine with a spectacular view of the Sassagoula River and the restaurant even has its own cookie bar! I stopped by Summer House on its opening day to try out the new eats and I spent a chunk of change…but there are only some things I would get again.

If you want to read our full review where I talk about ALL the menu items we tried, click here. For now though, I’ve rounded up a list of the best things on the menu, IMHO. These are the items I would order again!

Main dining room

Let’s dive in to the full list!

Potato Salad Deviled Eggs

First up, my #1 choice from the list of starters is the Potato Salad Deviled Eggs. The portion size is a little on the small side, but they were SO delicious. You get an order of three half eggs for $9.95.

Since potato salad and deviled egg filling have many of the same ingredients, the flavors work really well here. They tasted light a bright, fresh summer picnic!

Our Famous Herbed Chicken Breast Paillard

Of the entrees, my recommendation would be Our Famous Herbed Chicken Breast Paillard for $21.95. It’s a smidge on the pricey side for the portion as well, but it was deliciously herbaceous and perfectly juicy.

Squeezing the lemon on top added a zesty tang, and the arugula that came on the side helped balance out all the flavors. This was a light and fresh entree that would be great in the summertime.

Ahi Tuna Watermelon Tostadas

One of the things that surprised me the most on the menu was the Ahi Tuna Watermelon Tostadas. These tiny tostadas come topped with ahi tuna, watermelon, Hass avocado, and Thai chili. They’re light, fresh, watery (in a good way!), and have a great mix of creamy, crunchy, and chewy textures.

I really wasn’t expecting the combination of tuna and watermelon to work, but they complemented each other beautifully. Order this dish for $18.95.

Lemon Cookie

Moving on to the desserts, my favorite of the cookies was the Lemon Cookie for $4.95. It was surprisingly delicious for such a simple cookie — just a lemon base topped with icing.

It was soft, sweet, and citrusy with a strong lemon flavor. I would definitely go back to the Cookie Bar for this one!

Blondie

And last, but certainly not least, might be the BEST thing I had during the entire meal — the Blondie for $4.95. It’s soft and oh-so-gooey with a yummy, sweet, toffee-like flavor.

We’d go back for the blondie FO SHO

This was practically melt-in-your-mouth good, and I’ve been thinking about it ever since my visit. Don’t skip out on this dessert!

That’s a wrap on the things I would definitely order again at Summer House on the Lake! Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney World restaurant news and reviews.
