Decoding Disney World’s Confusing NEW Attraction Announcement

It seems like Magic Kingdom always has something new coming, right?

The Country Bear Jamboree is coming back this summer with a new show, and do we even have to remind you about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure? (We know you’re counting down the days, too!) There’s also another experience that’s coming to Magic Kingdom, specifically in Storybook Circus, and we thought we’d lay out everything we know about it!

To start it all, last year, Disney announced that “Smellephants on Parade” was coming to Storybook Circus. They described it as a family-friendly “search and sniff adventure” presented by Scentsy. Yes, we were just as confused as you were. I guess Disney wants us to go around Storybook Circus to smell things.

After that announcement, we started spotting some signs that Smellephants might be coming soon. Particularly, we noticed new wording on signs for Dumbo that say “presented by Scentsy.”

This one has the new wording too.

We also noticed that the bushes that were in the area next to the Casey Jr. Splash ‘n’ Soak Station have been removed. We’re not sure if this was done in preparation for Smellephants on Parade (what are your thoughts?).

Most recently, there was a new permit was filed on March 14th, 2024, for an address that matches the “Smellephants on Parade” area. This permit is for the “installation of show sets” and the contractor listed on the permit is Themeworks, Inc.

Unfortunately, the permit doesn’t give us any additional information, but it is good to see that there’s some progress being made on this new experience! This family-friendly “search and sniff adventure” is getting closer to being ready. Excuse us while we prepare our noses.

It’s still unclear what exactly this experience will be except that “smelling” is involved somehow. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see. Until then, be sure to check back with AllEars soon for more!
