Decoding EVERYTHING About the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure PREVIEWS in Disney World

We’ve had a LOT of new information dropping about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure recently.

The ride is set to open in Magic Kingdom in Disney World on June 28th. Before that, select Disney World visitors will get a chance to ride the attraction early in previews. So if you’re confused about previews, we’re going to break down everything you need to know.

We’re going to break these previews down by group to make more sense of it for you.

D23 Gold Member Previews

As part of a separately ticketed event, D23 Gold Members will be able to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure early in a limited capacity event where they can ride the new attraction as many times as they want. There will also be live jazz performances, as well as special snacks. Attendees will also get a D23-exclusive Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Commemorative Pin, as well as entry into Magic Kingdom.

The event will happen on June 22nd with tickets going on sale on May 16th at 1PM EST. Tickets will be $67 per person. Check-in for the event will be at the Transportation and Ticket Center from 5PM to 7PM. You’ll be able to proceed to Magic Kingdom after check-in via Monorail or boat. You’ll also be able to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure until 9:30PM. Note that parking is not included in the cost of the ticket.

D23 Gold Members can buy up to two tickets and those under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Disney Vacation Club Member Previews

Members of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) will be able to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure early on June 12th from 1PM to 4PM EST, as well as on June 19th from 9AM to 12PM EST. Registration for the early previews opens on May 16th at 10AM EST. Members will be sent a registration link via email. Pre-registration is required and the event is expected to fill up quickly.

Note that you must have a qualifying Disney hotel reservation as of May 12th using your DVC membership and you must have park pass reservations for the day of your Magic Kingdom visit unless you have a ticket that does not require reservations.

When you check in for the event, you will have to show a valid DVC Digital Membership Card and valid ID. The member listed on the Membership card must be present. You can download your Digital Membership Card onto your phone’s wallet before the event. Anyone under 18 must be present with a parent or guardian.

Annual Passholder Previews

Disney World Annual Passholders will also be able to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure through early previews. Disney announced Annual Passholder previews for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take place on June 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 20th, 2024.

Passholders are required to make a Magic Kingdom park pass reservation on the date they wish to ride. There is a virtual queue for the passholder previews, which opens each day at 7AM and again at 1PM. Park Pass Reservations for the preview dates have completely SOLD OUT, but there’s still a way for passholders to get on the ride using the 1PM virtual queue.

The 1PM virtual queue only requires a park pass reservation to ANY park, so if you’re an Annual Passholder, you can try to get a park pass reservation for another park and then park hop to Magic Kingdom later in the day. Note that Passholders who have hotel reservations during those preview days can still book Magic Kingdom reservations.

Cast Member Previews

Finally, Cast Members will also get an opportunity to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure early. Disney World Cast Members will be able to ride the new attraction between June 3rd and June 7th, and June 23rd through June 26th. 

Cast Members can only ride, though, during their personal time and during the allotted preview window. They must also have a valid ticket and have a park reservation for the day they wish to ride.

Cast Members can register themselves and up to two other people via Disney Cast Life Events beginning on May 20th. Registration for each preview date is avaialble until midnight two days before the preview date. If the preview reaches capacity, registration will close.
