Me and my bf went on a trip recently, I grew up not only as a star wars nerd but also the child of star wars nerds, that being said for only being able to get on this ride once due to the lines being long the ride honestly just is not worth it, the queue was really cool and being able to see a model of the ship of my childhood was amazing, that’s probably the only good I could say about the ride, why? Because if you are unlucky like me and the bf then you have ended up being forced to be the engineers for a family of 4 with 3 being less than 6, after being ragdolled for the duration and being crushed by not getting to “punch it”, we just went to Olga’s and talked about how much fun rise was instead.

Pros:

If you grew up a Star Wars fan the queue is cool

Cons:

If you are not in a larger group then go ride rise of the resistance instead, just trust me, being engineer is a joke.

Its okay but not worth the long line. I ended up being pilot for my first time on then being chosen for pilot again the second time but gave it up to whoever wanted to do it. It’s stressful and focusing on doing a good job, you come out saying to yourself, what just happened?!? Did I have fun?

Pros:

Interesting

Cons:

Stressful, the line moves verrry slooooow!

As resort guests, we were able to catch the 6:30am bus and walk right on to both Rise of the Resistance and Smuggler’s Run before the general park opening. (Rode in that order.) Although we had Genie+ and got on right at 7am, there were no spots available. Adult daughter and I rode by ourselves, both as pilots. I had read that there was one “captain”, but they’ve apparently split the pilot duties so one has up/down controls, while the other has right/left controls. We had no gunner or engineers. We felt like as pilots, we really only had control over what we were seeing, and not what the ride was doing. That mis-match between view and motion made me queasy. (Daughter had no problem.) It was fun, but neither of us wanted to stand in line over an hour to do it again. For calibration, I had no queasiness with Rise of the Resistance, Star Tours, or Toy Story Mania.

Pros:

Great if you can go in early access 30 min.

Cons:

Can induce motion sickness.

If you're a Star Wars fan you will love it! The line itself is amazing. That being said, out of all the positions in the cockpit, gunner is the worse. It is thye most boring and you feel like you have minimal agency. Engineer and Pilot are the most fun.

Pros:

Amazing Emersion

Cons:

1/3 chance getting a bad seat

So much fun! Incredible theming and highly interactive! The queue is breathtaking and it is a high capacity attraction so the line moves very fast.

Pros:

Star Wars-themed, high capacity attraction, highly interactive, amazing queue, single rider line

Cons:

Long lines, other parts can ruin it

Rated 4 because the queue is amazing! I love how immersive the experience is! As a lover of the original 3 movies and Mandolorian only, it’s hard to get into the story in Galaxy’s Edge. I don’t know who Hondo is and being in a simulator that strangers control is annoying. I’d rather go on Star Tours with characters I know and love and not have to do any of the work. It’s stressful! I miss Luke.

Pros:

Queue

Cons:

Too much work for a ride.I just want to ride. Group projects with strangers is not my favorite.

Super fun interactive line. Especially if you have the Play Disney App. The ride itself is also very interactive with your performance affecting the outcome of the ride.

Pros:

Very well themed.

Cons:

Only 6 to a compartment so if you have a larger amount you will be split up.

I love Star Wars but this ride is kinda meh in my opinion. You have to ride it at least once.

Pros:

It’s pretty cool and it’s fun and when I wrote it, I laughed so much because my group failed so much (I was the pilot)

Cons:

the line is super long for how fun the ride is

This attraction is truly incredible and so much fun! Even if you aren't a Star Wars fan, you'll still have fun piloting the fastest ship in the galaxy!

Pros:

Anyone can have fun on this attraction, plus you can ride it so many times and it will be different every time!

Cons:

The line is a little long for how fun the ride is.
