Listen, we know that no matter how hard you try, sometimes, it’s just impossible to resist bringing home some pricey souvenirs.
Between Loungefly bags, spirit jerseys, lightsabers, and more, Disney souvenirs don’t often come cheap. But what if we told you one of the coolest merch upgrades you could make also happened to be one of the cheapest?
Over in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square, you’ll find Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe — and yes, it’s open all year long! This shop is home to all things winter holidays, and has quite a selection of ornaments. But, this hack actually starts before you get to Ye Olde.
Celebration Buttons can be found all around Disney World — usually at Guest Relations, hotel front desks, merchandise locations, and more. There are a few different types: birthday, anniversary, first visit, and a generic celebration button. The best part about these is that they are completely FREE. That’s right — you can still get free stuff in Disney World if you know where to look.
So, when you first get to Magic Kingdom, stop by Guest Relations or a merch store and pick up one of these buttons. BUT, you’ll want to tell the Cast Members to leave it blank and not write anything on it. Why? We’ll tell ya.
You’re going to take that button over to Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe — and for just $5, a Cast Member can personalize it for you in gorgeous script!
They can write anything you’d like (within reason) and have even had Halloween-themed Christmas ornaments made! Listen, for a personalized souvenir you can get for $3 in Disney World — we’ll take it!
We’ll be on the hunt for more CHEAP Disney World upgrades, so stay tuned to AllEars for more!
