Full Guide to the Best Rooms at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel

The Disneyland Resort has a few different Disney hotels to choose from in addition to the Good Neighbor hotels, so we understand it’s not an easy process. If you’ve done your homework and are ready to stay at the luxurious Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, then you’ve come to the right place!

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is considered the highest-end hotel on the Disneyland property. It’s directly attached to both Downtown Disney and Disney California Adventure, making it the most accessible hotel in the area.

As for the rooms and amenities, they go above and beyond most other local hotel options, with even the standard rooms standing out. So with that in mind, let’s break down the rooms and get into the details of what you should expect during your stay.

Grand Californian Lobby

STANDARD ROOMS

The Grand Californian’s standard rooms all vary in pricing based on view type but generally range from $600 to $1,100+ per night. Of course, pricing is subject to change based on date and availability, as well as any Magic Key discounts.

Each standard room comes equipped with the following:

  • Bathroom amenities
  • Evening turndown upon availability
  • Interior corridor access
  • Mini Refrigerator
  • Vanity area with double sinks and step stool
  • Air conditioning/heat
  • Crib pack ‘n play upon request
  • Hair dryer
  • Iron and board
  • Robes
  • Wi-fi
  • Alarm clock with USB charger
  • Desk
  • Keurig
  • Safe – In room
  • Balcony(ies) or patio
  • Dual line phone with voice mail
  • Ice bucket
  • Make-up mirror
  • Shower with rain shower capability; or Bathtub with rain shower, upon request

The room types from least expensive to most expensive are Standard View (Street and rooftops), Woods-Courtyard View, Partial View (partial views of Downtown Disney or Disney California Adventure), Downtown Disney View, and Pool View. Each room sleeps up to 5 and comes with a variety of day, twin, queen, and king bed setups in addition to sleeper chairs.

ROOMS WITH CLUB-LEVEL SERVICE

Rooms with Club-Level Service start at around $1,100 per night but can get up to over $1,600 without discounts depending on the date and availability. They include the Standard View (views of the courtyard or Disneyland Drive) and Premium View, the more expensive option. They are styled after the standard rooms and come with the same amenities but also with special perks.

Those perks include:

  • Afternoon tea from 12PM to 3PM
  • Personal assistance from the Concierge Staff
  • Continental breakfast from 6:30AM to 11AM
  • View fireworks from The Veranda (no soundtrack during special ticket events)
  • Cookies and desserts from 8PM to 10PM
  • Wine and cheese reception from 4PM to 7PM
  • Exclusive access to The Veranda

SUITES

The Grand Californian has 1 Bedroom, 2 Bedroom, and 3 Bedroom suites that can sleep up to six, 11, and 12 people respectively. They start at around $1,500 a night but can run up to well over $2,000 without discounts depending on the date and availability.

Each suite features views of the woods, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney, or the pool.

They also come with all the same amenities as the standard rooms as well as a DVD player and wet bar.

ARCADIA SIGNATURE SUITES

The Arcadia Signature Suites come in the form of one, two, and three-bedroom suites that can sleep up to four, nine, and 11 people respectively. They can start around $4,800 per night without discounts but can also nearly double in price based on date and availability.

These rooms basically share the same amenities as the regular suites but do have a lot more space as well as a kitchen and dining room.

These suites are a significant jump up in quality from the previous rooms and suites.

ARROYO SIGNATURE SUITES

The Arroyo Signature Suites are very similar to the Arcadia Signatures Suites in size, amenities, and price.

The big difference here is that the 3-bedroom suite can fit up to 13 people, the most out of any suite in the hotel.

If you have the budget, these signature suites are an insanely luxurious way to spend a Disney vacation.

MOUNT WHITNEY SIGNATURE SUITES

The Mount Whitney Signature Suites are very similar in style and amenities to the Arroyo Signature Suites but with a few catches.

These suites only come in the form of 2 and 3-bedrooms and can sleep six and 10 people, respectively. Because they are absent the 1-bedroom, the suites usually range between $6,000 to $10,00 per night.

With these suites down, the last signature suites are…

EL CAPITAN SIGNATURE SUITES

The El Capitan Signature Suites are the most expensive rooms at the Grand Californian. These suites start at just around $7,000 per night and can get all the way up to the high $11,000-low $12,000 range.

These suites come in 1 and 2-bedroom options and can sleep up to four and nine people, respectively.
