26 (!!) Disney World Restaurants That STILL Don’t Use Mobile Order (But Totally Should)

We have to admit that Mobile Order on the My Disney Experience app has been a huge gamechanger in Disney World.

Order Ahead

It makes getting our food so  much easier and more convenient, especially when things are busy in Disney World (we can order ahead of time and beat the food crowds if we have to). There’s just one problem: not ALL of Disney World’s quick service restaurants offer the option. In fact, you won’t find Mobile Order at a whopping 26 Disney World quick service locations.

Here’s the thing, though. These restaurants should absolutely have Mobile Order, and we’re not sure why they don’t.

Resort-wide

We’re just going to start with the BIGGEST omission of mobile order at Disney World because it affects several locations in the parks. At home, we can use the Starbucks app to order ahead, no problem. At Disney World, you can’t use the Starbucks app to mobile order food and drinks.

You can’t mobile order Starbucks in the parks

These ARE Starbucks locations, right? So why doesn’t this work? You can still use the app for payment and you can earn Stars, but ordering ahead? Forget about it! However, you can use the Starbucks app in Disney Springs. What gives, Disney?

Magic Kingdom

Okay, why can’t we Mobile Order at Golden Oak Outpost? Remember when they had the beignets and there were long lines? Well, that could’ve been prevented with Mobile Order.

Also, it’s unforgivable that we always have to wait in a long line to get our Cheeseburger Spring Rolls at the Spring Roll Cart. We get that it’s just a cart and may not be ideal for setting up a separate Mobile Order line, but it would be worth it.

Snack locations like Tortuga Tavern, Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, and Cheshire Cafe also do not offer Mobile Order, which is a pity because we would love to be able to order some of those snacks we love ahead of time. Even Gaston’s Tavern doesn’t let us Mobile Order those delicious cinnamon rolls that people wait in line for.

Craving a yummy treat from Storybook Treats? Better get in line for it. The same goes for Westward Ho.

EPCOT

Of all the offenders, EPCOT has the MOST quick service restaurants that don’t have Mobile Order. Here’s one that might surprise you: Sunshine Seasons doesn’t have Mobile Order! Like WHY NOT? This location offers full meals and everything.

The other quick service locations in EPCOT that don’t offer Mobile Order can be found in the Pavilions. Now, you CAN find Mobile Order at some of the pavilion restaurants, so we’re not sure why others don’t offer it. Wouldn’t it be nice to order a crepe from Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris instead of having to wait in a line (which can get long)? You also can’t Mobile Order at Les Halles, which also ALWAYS has a long line.

In Japan, you can’t get a quick meal by mobile ordering at Katsura Grill. Likewise, you can’t Mobile Order at China’s Lotus Blossom Cafe or Mexico’s La Cantina de San Angel. We also think Choza de Margarita should be on Mobile Order (but it’s not). Mobile ordering margaritas and snacks should be the norm, Disney!

There’s always a line here, too

Finally, if we find ourselves needing a School Bread fix, we should be able to order it ahead of time at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in Norway. Likewise, why can’t we order Pretzel Bread Pudding from Sommerfest in Germany ahead of time, too?

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

We love the tacos at The Smiling Crocodile, but you can’t Mobile Order them. We also can’t order that delicious Mac & Cheese from Eight Spoon Cafe ahead of time or grab a boozy Dole Whip from Tamu Tamu Refreshments or snacks from Trilo-Bites.

Yes, these are mostly snack locations, but you also can’t use Mobile Order at Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes, a spot we often love for lunch in Animal Kingdom. Could this be because the Yak & Yeti locations are owned by a third party and not Disney? Still, it’s a shame, because it’s a great quick service spot, but that’s our biggest beef with it.

Hotels

Okay, so you know how you can Mobile Order at most hotels’ quick service locations and food courts? Well, you can NOT Mobile Order at El Mercado de Coronado at Disney’s Coronado Springs, which is the hotel’s quick service location. The same goes for Good’s Food To Go at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, although it’s the hotel’s one quick service location.

Good’s Food To Go

We also think it’s odd that you can order Dole Whip from Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom, but you can’t at Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

So what can you do if you want to grab food or snacks at these locations? If you want to avoid the longest lines, try to grab meals during off periods of the day (like not during typical breakfast, lunch, and dinner times). Otherwise, your other option is to skip these locations and go somewhere that offers Mobile Order.
