January 2015 - N/AHollywood Land : Disney California AdventureMuppet*Vision 3D closed indefinitely. The theater has been renamed the Sunset Showcase. From July 1- August 14 the theater will host a preview of Pete's Dragon.

Early 2016 - PERMANENT CLOSUREDowntown Disney : Downtown DisneyHouse of Blues Relocating The House of Blues has announced plans to relocate in 2016. Citing a need for expansion, the House of Blues will be moving to GardenWalk Mall of Anaheim. The Downtown Disney location closes on May 31, 2016.
Early 2016 - May 6Adventureland : Disneyland ParkJungle Cruise Reopens May 6 after an extensive refurbishment.
Jan. 04 - May. 01a bug's land : Disney California AdventureIt's Tough to Be a Bug Closed for installation of Jungle Book preview. Preview opens March 18, and will run for an unspecified period of time. The movie opens in theaters on April 15.
Jan. 10 - Jul. 29Frontierland : Disneyland ParkRivers of America Attractions Disneyland Railroad and most Rivers of America attractions (including Fantasmic!) are closed temporarily to make room for the construction of the new Star Wars land. Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island has re-opened. Fantasmic! opens on July 17. Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes, Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia and Disneyland Railroad reopen on July 29.
Jan. 10 - PERMANENT CLOSUREHollywood Land : Disney California AdventureAladdin "Disney's Aladdin -- A Musical Spectacular" closed on January 10, 2016, after nearly 14,000 shows since its debut in January 2003. The story of "Frozen" will take Aladdin's place in an all-new theatrical production opening May 27,2016 at the Hyperion Theater.

Disney has revealed that the attraction is being rethemed to an adapted version of the original Swiss Family Treehouse concept that Walt and his Imagineers envisioned in 1962.

April 2023 - September 5thNew Orleans Square : Disneyland ParkFantasmic! During a spring performance of Fantasmic! in Disneyland, the Maleficent dragon (who is supposed to breathe fire during the show) caught on fire. After the incident, the show was suspended indefinitely and Disney released a statement that it would temporarily suspend fire effects at select shows GLOBALLY “out of an abundance of caution.”
