3 Menu Items Are Disappearing From McDonald’s – Will You Miss Them?

McDonald’s is probably one of our top fast food dining spots outside of Disney World.

When we want a fast, cheap meal (and have a craving for fries and shakes), McDonald’s is our go-to. BUT three menu items will soon be disappearing from McDonald’s menus. So we have to ask — will you be sad to see these items go away forever?

According to CNN, McDonald’s is getting rid of its McCafe bakery goods. This includes three items: the apple fritter, blueberry muffin, and cinnamon roll. All three of these items will be phased out beginning this month.

In a statement, McDonald’s said that it’s “always listening to our fans and adjusting our menu based on what they crave.” This sounds like the items weren’t being ordered as some of the more popular sweet treats like the chocolate chip cookies and apple pies (which will be sticking around).

The three bakery items first appeared on McDonald’s menus in 2020 and were the first bakery goods sold by the fast food restaurant in over a decade. Now, just three years later, those items are being discontinued. However, McDonald’s did recently expand its partnership with Krispy Kreme to sell donuts in select locations in Kentucky.

If you do find yourself visiting a McDonald’s soon, though, don’t forget that you can get FREE french fries at McDonald’s on July 13th, National Fry Day. And grab one of those discontinued bakery items while they’re still available!
