FULL Tour of the Construction Happening at Universal’s NEW Epic Universe Park

Universal Orlando has a lot of construction going on in their parks while they’re celebrating the holidays, but they’re also building an entirely NEW park as well.

Santa at Universal!

Epic Universe is expected to open in 2025, and Universal has been hard at work bringing the vision to life. A lot has changed since you may have last looked at it, so let’s go through a full tour of what the construction is looking like!

Concept Art

Before we dive into the current construction, let’s take a look at the concept art for this new park.

This new park is set to have multiple different lands such as Super Nintendo World, another Harry Potter themed area, a How To Train Your Dragon land, and more. It will also have an in-park resort.

There will also be two other nearby hotels for guests to stay at, called Stella Nova and Terra Luna.

Now on to the construction!

Overview of the Park

As of December 8th, this is what the progress of the park is looking like.

Pretty impressive for still being over a year out, if you ask us!

Many ride buildings and rides are in a very good place, and other buildings like restaurants, snack stands, and more are also underway.

But let’s move in a little closer, shall we?

Hotels

Taking a quick look at the in-park hotel, which we still don’t know the name of at this time, it’s already massive.

We also can already see the pool bar being placed — good to know they’ll have one of those!

As for Stella Nova and Terra Luna nearby, they’re also coming along well. We do know that Terra Luna has an opening date of February 25th, 2025, at this time, but that could change.

One of the coolest parts about these resorts are the colorful tiles that are being placed on the outside for decoration. We think they’re looking amazing!

Now into the park!

Entrance to The Park

We are seeing lots of progress on what is believed to be the Celestial Carousel at the front of the park…

…as well as the massive circular fountain at the entrance.

We also can now see new elements being placed for a waterside restaurant to go towards the front of the park.

There will also be a restaurant near the show fountain.

Ready to see the progress on one of the biggest rides in the park?

Dual Coaster

The dual coaster is looking absolutely gigantic!

We’ve got some updates at the entrance to the ride…

…including some of the special themed elements at the front.

Not only that, we can also now see some of the details around what is believed to be a comet coming out of the ride launch.

And what’s right next to the dual coaster? It’s How To Train Your Dragon Land!

Which is what we’re focusing on next.

How To Train Your Dragon Land

Now this section of the park is looking REALLY great.

Not only do we have water in the bay (!!!)…

…but we’ve also got a better look at the station for the land’s large attraction.

We also noticed there’s a potential restaurant in progress right now, where they appear to be working on the logo.

We also got a good look at the show building.

There will also be a boat ride in this land, and we can now see the progress on the ride itself…

…as well as the progress on the queue for the ride.

Meade Hall is also coming along very well, and its tall spike is becoming very difficult to miss.

Another shop is also in progress in the land too.

But the most exciting thing? Ride testing has been taking place!

You can even clearly see the test dummies being used for the occasion.

Now it’s time to get a little darker, as we move to…

Dark Portal

…the Dark Portal section of the park. We still don’t know too much about this section, but we can see progress on the entrance to the land.

And overall, we can still say it’s coming along nicely.

Thanks to our friend @bioreconstruct on Twitter, we know what certain buildings and sections are expected to be!

Such as that we can really start to see details on this building, which is expected to be a Tavern.

And that brings us right to the middle!

Middle of the Park

In the middle of the park, we’ve started to see some smaller food and beverage locations start to pop up…

…and construction is currently in progress on a larger restaurant, which is believed to be a barbeque joint. If that’s the case, yum!

And now for the lands you’ve all been waiting for!

Harry Potter

We still don’t totally know what this new section of Harry Potter is going to be, but we can say it’s looking good!

The entrance to the land is coming along well, which will transport you into some section of the Wizarding World.

We can clearly see the intersection of 5 streets, which is hidden beneath these BEHEMOTH buildings.

You can also see a tiny bit into one of the show buildings being worked on.

And since it can be a little confusing, this Harry Potter land will be located to the left (or if you’re staring at it in real life, to your right) of the in-park hotel.

And last but not least…

Super Nintendo World

…Super Nintendo World! This land is made up of so many different levels, we can’t wait to see when the colors start to be added.

We can see nice progress happening to the Mushroom Kingdom

…as well as the Donkey Kong Coaster. You may not be able to see it super clearly, but the track is there!

Not only do we get a good look at the entrance to Yoshi’s Adventure

…but we can also see that all cars are on the track!

Bowser’s Fortress just recently got some new concrete…

…as did Peach’s Castle.
