The new ride is coming to both Disney World and Disneyland, and we’ve been keeping an eye on all the progress on both coasts. We recently spotted some updates over in Disney World, but it’s what’s been added to the Disneyland version that’s caught our eye!

A new sign has been added to the construction wall out in front of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland — and it’s a nod to Splash Mountain! The former ride’s gift shop, The Briar Patch, is still open during the construction of Tiana’s, but recently the original sign was removed.

We think folks likely thought this store was closed since there was no signage on it, so Disney added this temporary one for the time being. But, The Briar Patch won’t be around for much longer!

It’s still open!

Disney announced that as part of the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure retheme, two new merchandise stores will be added! The first shop will be called Ray’s Berets and it will replace the current location of The Briar Patch. This shop will have headwear, apparel, accessories, toys, and more.

The second shop is called Louis’ Critter Club which will take over the left side of the store called Pooh Corner, while the other side remains the same.

There is no exact timeline for when the stores open, however, Disney announced that the Critter Country land will temporarily close for these changes starting on May 1st, 2024.
