There’s nothing wrong with wanting to feel fancy every now and then.
Vacationing at Disney World  is when we allow all of our fancy shmancy dreams to come true. Recently, we’ve noticed that “fancy” and “luxurious” experiences at Disney World have been trending on social media. We just had to join in the conversation, because there are a few things at Disney World that just make us wanna put our pinkies up.
Yes, we are here to talk about the things that our team members love to do at Disney World when they just wanna feel fancy. They’re ordinary things that don’t require a whole lot of extra money, so you can do them, too!
Eat at restaurant lounges.
Disney’s Signature Restaurants are special experiences that are a surefire way to make you feel fancy. Even if you don’t have a reservation, many of these restaurants have swanky lounges with walk-up seating. One of our faves is Dahlia Lounge at Coronado Springs.
What feels fancier than cocktails at a rooftop bar? NOT MUCH, friends. NOT. MUCH. There’s an extensive appetizer/tapas menu here, as well as a great selection of Spanish wines.
A more hidden swanky spot is the bar at bluezoo in the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. Know what makes us feel fancy? Valet parking. And you can get that (and get your ticket validated) at bluezoo.
Seats at the bar are first-come, first-served. We love the elegant vibes here, as well as the creative cocktails. Some Teppan Seared Scallops and a Mushroom Flatbread make for a great light meal.
If you’re in the parks, the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge feels fancy — and has a walk-up waitlist you can join through the My Disney Experience app!
You can order from the full menu here — including the famous Cobb Salad — and we highly recommend trying a martini or margarita flight!
Over at Disney Springs, try our favorite lounge with water views to feel fancy … the lounge on top of Paddlefish.
When you visit Paddlefish, you’re actually visiting one of the oldest restaurant sites in Disney World. This full-size replica of a paddle steamer riverboat opened in 1977 and was originally named the Empress Lilly, after Walt Disney’s widow, Lillian. I mean, what’s fancier than drinks on a boat? (Even if it’s just a boat-shaped building sitting on concrete sunk into the water…)
Grab a cocktail in France in EPCOT
A visit to Europe certainly feels fancy to us, and while we can’t afford to jet across the Atlantic very often, we DO have Disney World Annual Passes, and that means we can visit fake France anytime.
Grab a slush or a glass of champagne, take in the fountain and the Eiffel Tower, and don’t forget a pic for your socials!
Visit the Grand Floridian.
The Grand Floridian = Fancy. Period.
It was the choice of Princess Diana when she brought young Princes William and Harry to meet Mickey Mouse. And if it’s good enough for a REAL princess, well…
Take our word for it: A simple stroll around the grounds of the Grand Floridian will have you stepping lightly and feeling fancy in seconds.
Purchase preferred parking.
It had to be said. Paying that up charge and parking thisclose to the parks? Yep, it’s the stuff of our bougie fantasy trips to Disney World.
If you’ve wondered what it was like to veer off of the beaten path toward the Preferred Parking lot, splurge and give it a try … just this once!
